Biography

Meaghan joined the firm in 2014 and became a member of the Alberta and Saskatchewan Law Societies in 2015. Meaghan was formerly a Certified Financial Planner prior to obtaining her Law Degree with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan.

Meaghan’s practice focuses on corporate and commercial transactions, real estate and estate planning matters. She offers expertise and advice to clients when they are ready to buy or sell their home or business. Meaghan works with everyone from business owners to first time home buyers and welcomes new clients to her practice.

Meaghan encourages clients to take an active approach to estate planning starting with the preparation of their will, enduring power of attorney and personal health care directive. Her experience in this area allows her to offer sophisticated succession planning strategies to ensure the seamless transition of business ownership and assets between generations and between provinces.

Meaghan also handles adult guardianship and trusteeship applications and has assisted many Personal Representatives with administering complex estates. She works with Personal Representatives and guides them through the administration process while providing insight to challenges that may arise such as the interpretation of wills, the removal of executors, and matrimonial property claims. Meaghan’s business background and previous estate planning experience has provided her with the platform and knowledge required to assist clients in this area.

Outside of the office, Meaghan enjoys an active yoga practice. Meaghan is a part of Pro Bono Law in Saskatchewan and Alberta and takes pride in providing access to justice within the community.
